Breakfast in Point A Hotel Dublin Parnell Street

Absolutely blown away by the value of this property, we were able to book 2 rooms with 2 private bathrooms for our party of 4 for cheaper than any surrounding hotels or even hostels with shared bathrooms! It was right in the middle of the action in downtown and only a few blocks walk from Temple Bar district. Highly recommend. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Shower pressure was wonderful, beds and pillows were comfortable. The rooms are very tiny so be prepared for that, but for a place to rest your head at night, perfect!

The reception staff were fabulous: helpful and accommodating. The room was great; clean, functional and had all we needed. The bar staff were lovely too, in fact the staff are a real credit to the hotel, so customer focused! We were able to leave our bags pre and post check in/out and that made such a difference to our trip. We came back before our evening flight and repacked our bags at the comfortable reception space. Gluten free options for breakfast we're fabulous! Altogether a great place for a base to explore the city!

Excellent location; it is easy to walk to the most visited places. I was in Dublin and would have loved to know about it sooner so I could have booked in London as well

Lounge or bar in Point A Hotel Dublin Parnell Street

The hubs & I travelled to Dublin for the AC/DC concert this past August. With that in mind THE day AC/DC announced their tour dates, I immediately looked at the venue’s location, which happened to be Croke park, & checked for decently priced hotels in the general area. Point A Parnell was within reasonable walking distance & relatively inexpensive at the time I booked. Having zero expectations, we were pleasantly surprised. As Americans the winning point was our own bathroom. I don’t know if the bed was comfortable or we were just exhausted at the end of the day either way we slept well. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel was clean and inviting. It is on a main street but it’s not drowning with the noice of cars and the touristy area noise pollution, but still within walking distance of the heavier tourist sections. In all for the price and location it was perfect.

Lobby or reception in Point A Hotel Dublin Parnell Street

Hotel is at a good location - very close to city center (10 minute walk to Temple Bar). The location was one of the main reasons for picking this hotel. Property has 8 floors and probably over 250 rooms. Access is restricted for key card holders only (in the evenings, even the outside door is being access controlled). Corridors on the floors are kind of narrow, but not in a bad way. The double room was pretty small, but OK for short stays. Very clean and nice.

Perfect location. There was a grocery store right across the street and an airport bus stop right next door on O'Connell Street. All you had to do was walk straight down O'Connell to get to the other side of the river and see things such as the Temple Bar area. The rooms and facilities were very clean and very modern. Our room had a beautiful view out the window. The breakfast was good for what it was (no hot food). The staff were all very nice. We were able to check-in early.

I did not try the breakfast due to the cost. I do not normally eat a large breakfast but the only option was to pay for a large feast. If I could have had the option for tea and toast or a breakfast sandwich etc. I might have tried to eat there.

It took seconds for one of the hotel managers (presumingly) to come up to look at chromocast option in the TV, which was not working. It couldn't be fixed even after a good try, so the staff member offered us a refund for the late checking out that we bought half an hour earlier and free breakfast for both my boyfriend and I. We were already very pleased with the hotel and planning to book the same next time as well, but it was the cherry on the top, especially since he insisted for it despite our wish for no bother. Really great service and hospitality.

The hotel is located near the center of Dublin, within walking distance of bus stations, pubs, and stores (both Lidl and Aldi are just a 5-minute walk away). The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. If you have an evening flight, you can leave your luggage at the hotel after check-out. The room was spacious and clean, equipped with a kettle (along with tea, coffee, sugar, and cream), a hair dryer, and a TV. Additionally, the free Wi-Fi was reliable and had good speed.
